Penn State World Campus will celebrate its summer graduates with an outdoor reception on the University Park campus on Saturday, August 14, the day of Penn State’s commencement.
The Penn State World Campus Graduation Celebration will be held at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The address of the venue is 701 Porter Road, State College, Pennsylvania.
Graduating students who want to attend the Graduation Celebration should RSVP by Friday, August 6. The open house reception is being held between the commencement ceremony for undergraduates at 10:30 a.m. and the ceremony for graduate students at 2:30 p.m. to accommodate all students who would like to attend. The commencement ceremonies will be held nearby at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The event will offer appetizers, activities for children, photo opportunities, and time for graduates to meet one another and faculty and staff who attend. Renata Engel, the vice provost for Online Education, will address attendees.
“We are excited to once again welcome our graduates and their families to campus to celebrate their success,” Engel said. “This is the day that they have worked so hard to reach, and we are honored to share the moment with them in person.”
Penn State will not require masking and physical distancing at the event because it is being held outdoors.
RSVP for the graduation celebration through the Penn State World Campus student website.
