Penn State World Campus students received military honor cords at a ceremony held Thursday, May 4, to recognize learners who are serving or have served in the armed forces.
The red, white, and blue cords were presented by Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi at the ceremony and will be worn by graduates during the spring 2023 commencement ceremonies the weekend of May 5–7.
The students in attendance were:
- Jenny Brunson, senior chief petty officer in the Navy, who is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
- Reginald Jeter, petty officer 2nd class in the Navy, who is graduating with an Associate in Science in Labor and Human Resources.
- Edward Rusinowski, first sergeant in the Marine Corps, who is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership.
University leaders in attendance included Provost Justin Schwartz, Vice Provost for Online Education Renata Engel, and Senior Director for Veterans Affairs and Services Eugene McFeely.
