UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State’s online graduate business programs are in the top 10 of U.S. News & World Report’s latest rankings of the best programs in the country.
The U.S. News & World Report 2021 Best Online Programs rankings feature two categories for business programs, the online MBA and online master’s in business programs. It also includes rankings for veterans and specialties within the MBA field.
The degree programs are offered online in partnership with the Smeal College of Business, Penn State Harrisburg, Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies, and the Penn State Behrend Black School of Business.
Best online graduate degree program rankings
The Penn State Online MBA is No. 7 among the 295 colleges and universities that U.S. News ranked in its 2021 edition. The online MBA is offered in partnership with the internationally recognized Penn State Smeal College of Business.
The portfolio of online master’s degree programs in business fields is No. 10 out of 164 institutions that U.S. News ranked. The specific degree programs that are part of this portfolio are:
- Master of Finance
- Master of Professional Accounting
- Master of Project Management
- Master of Supply Chain Management
- Master’s in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Master’s in Marketing Analytics and Insights
- Master’s in Strategic Management and Executive Leadership
The degree programs are offered online in partnership with the Smeal College as well as Penn State Harrisburg, Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies, and Penn State Behrend.
U.S. News developed the rankings based on statistical surveys submitted by colleges and universities as well as feedback collected from the deans of business schools in a peer-assessment survey. The specific categories in the rankings are engagement, expert opinion, services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and student excellence.
U.S. News also ranked online MBA programs for several business-related specialties. The Penn State Online MBA was ranked:
- No. 8, MBA marketing specialty
- No. 9, MBA business analytics specialty
- No. 9, MBA general management specialty
- No. 19, MBA finance specialty
Best online graduate business degree programs for veterans
The MBA and master’s in business programs were also highly ranked in U.S. News’ Best Online Programs for Veterans list.
The portfolio of online master’s programs in business fields is ranked No. 3 for veterans.
The online MBA was No. 5 for veterans.
