Benefit From Our Decades Of Serving Military Students
While Penn State serves all types of students, we recognize the unique and specific needs of our military students. Our proud history of serving the military dates back to 1865, when all male first-year and sophomore students were required to participate in military instruction. The University has commissioned thousands of military officers since establishing an ROTC program in 1916. And, we support military families through groundbreaking research. Today, more than 5,000 Penn State students are military and veteran learners, and more than half of them are enrolled online through Penn State World Campus. Our passion for serving the military inspires us to continue evolving our services to support learners like you.
Penn State World Campus is proud to abide by the high standards set forth through the Department of Defense (DoD) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Executive Order 13607 Principles of Excellence, and the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success. We are regionally accredited through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, are an active member of the Council on College and Military Educators (CCME), and have been recognized through numerous military-specific awards and rankings.

Our academically rigorous programs delivered online are the same as those offered in person — so the quality, reputation, and diploma are 100% identical.
